Overview :
Designed for flexible deployment, the TS-855eU-RP 8-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP features a 2 RU design with a short 11.7″ depth, making it ideal for small racks, wall-mounted AV racks, and network cabinets where the extra space may be used for cable management and ventilation. Despite its size, you can fit up to eight 2.5″ / 3.5″ SATA III drives into the available bays alongside two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSDs for caching. The drives may be configured for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10,50, and 60 with triple mirror and triple parity functionality to balance between performance and data redundancy.
Powered by a 2.8 GHz Intel Atom C5125 8-Core processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory and the QuTS hero h5.0.1 operating system, the TS-855eU-RP is ready to take on a variety of workloads. It integrates with your network through two 2.5G Ethernet ports, allowing it to operate as a file server, backup and restoration system, virtual application host, and more. Compatible peripherals and expansions may be connected to the four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports to transfer data at up to 5 Gb/s. Dual 300W power supplies provide redundancy for maximum uptime.
Upgrade Ready
Install up to two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 cache drives to boost the performance of your NAS. Additionally, two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots support up to 64GB of ECC memory. Expansions such as fiber optic network adapters may be installed into the two PCIe 3.0 x4 slots.
High-Speed Connectivity
This NAS can reach read and write speeds of up to 591 MB/s and 586 MB/s, respectively when equipped with eight 1TB SATA SSDs in RAID 5 configuration through the two 2.5G Ethernet ports.
SSD Caching
Configure SSD caching with M.2 SSDs and obtain optimal I/O and reduced latency without occupying any 3.5-inch drive bays.
Auto Tiering
Qtier technology empowers the TS-855eU-RP with auto tiering to continuously optimize storage efficiency across all installed storage devices.
AI Powered Image Recognition
The separately purchased Coral M.2 Accelerator with Edge TPU provides an affordable solution to leverage AI acceleration for faster image recognition in your NAS applications.
Flexible Backup
Quickly back up and sync your connected devices with the Qsync application. This NAS also supports Time Machine for Mac. Hybrid Backup Sync allows NAS-to-NAS backups in addition to cloud-based transfers and syncing.
