1 review for AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Desktop Processor (8 Cores/16 Threads/3.8GHz)

Top notch CPU that shreds Intel’s best offerings even in gaming. If you primarily game and have a high end GPU (3060ti, 3070, 3080, 6800, 6800XT, 6900XT) then this will pair great. I’m using this with an RTX 3080 and even at 1080p which is not a resolution the 3080 was designed for this CPU doesn’t bottleneck it. Fair warning though, this CPU gets toasty, more so than even the Ryzen 9 5900X so pair it with a good cooler. Another thing you need to keep in mind is the BIOS for the motherboard, make sure it either comes with support for Ryzen 5000 out of the box or that it has a BIOS flash option without using a CPU to avoid the pain of finding a Ryzen 3000 chip to help with the BIOS flashing.

Overall I am more than satisfied with this product and would for sure recommend it. If you are primarily gaming, pick this over the Ryzen 9 5900X, save 10K and buy a nice NVMe SSD (Maybe even Gen 4 if it gets any cheaper).

    10/10
